Although stretching is suppose to work to stop that happening, most people who do stretching have realised that it only provides short term benefits at best and once a problem has developed, stretching does very little to take it away.

SLM Yoga is a gentle form of meditative exercise that works to release shortened, contracted muscles and rebalance the bodys core muscles so that from one workout to the next the bodys balance and flexibility is maintained.

The technique involves switching on different muscle groups in the body to get a balanced contraction that is held for the time it takes for those muscle groups to start to fatigue and release.

The effects are an unlocking of the web that holds the body in a twisted or rotated posture. This allows the restoration of movement and flexibility of the problem muscles and invariably pain disappears at the same time.

This means that not only is it a great way of helping to maintain the correct length, position and function of your muscles but it can also help to take away problems you may already be experiencing that are causing pain or restricted movement.
