Hey all,
Still working on my walking stride, trying to walk a few miles everyday but I still get some soreness and inflammation where I have to take a day or two off to recover. Very happy with my improvement as my walking stride was a big cause of all my hip and back problems.
My dizziness that has been chronic for the past year is totally gone and though I still get sleepy a lot during the day my body wakes up feeling refreshed and not exhausted. Still a ways to go, but everything is going nicely in the right direction.
I just want to say a few things about how much SLM yoga has helped me:
1. Steve's Back Pain book is the best book I have read about understanding back pain. There were many
things I was doing wrong that aggravated my back and his book and exercises gave me a much better plan
on how to go about getting pain free.
2. Steve's SLM yoga video is brilliant!! This video has probably played the biggest role in my healing. And
here are my reasons:
a. I can put the video on my laptop and watch TV at the same time!! Love that I can watch the TV and
do this routine, it takes much of the monotony out of the program as I can get distracted by the TV.
Been doing this routine for over 4 months now and I would have had a much harder time if I had to
do it on my own without this good video.
b. The verbal guidance on the video is so good!!! There has been a lot of thought put into this program
Every word in this program has purpose and meaning. Have learned greatly from this process.
c. Doing this routine has been like going to get a massage from a massage therapist. I was seeing a
massage therapist before finding SLM yoga but my improvement was stagnant. But once I started
doing SLM yoga my body felt like it was getting a massage everyday!! Then my improvement
got back in the fast lane.
