Achilles Tenonitis
« on: February 15, 2011, 06:44:06 PM »
I know this is not really related to back pain but I was wondering if there is any self treatment I can do to help with a sore achilles tenon? During a recent SLM treatment I mentioned my achilles was sore and the therapist did some extra work on my calf which feels like it has helped. Is the calf the main culprit or are there other muscles involved? Since the SLM treatment I have noticed that when doing the SLM yoga my calf burns a bit when contracting the hamstrings. Do the hamstrings have any affect on the calf?

Thanks and Regards,

Steve Lockhart

Yes Warren the hamstrings affect the calf and achillies tendon.
