Title: Pain spreading to Tail bone
Post by: Marvin on April 28, 2010, 11:19:56 AM
I am using the ball technic, but what is happening I am now getting pain in the Tail bone while sitting.
It becomes unbearable and end up laying down on a flat surface. Nothing seems to relieve it other than
Tylenol.  Steve I am still waiting for my package, is there anything else I can do to remedy this?

It is strange, I either have left leg Sciatica one day or Tail bone the next day but not both at once.

Hi Marvin follow the ball compression technique in the book for the hips and glutes as it sounds like thats what the body wants you to do next. The Yoga should help also.

You would have the book from the instant download.

Going through the Yoga I am getting a lot of cramping between my shoulder blades and lower mid back. I wait it through the pain, but noticed a couple of muscles are not fully releasing, I have tighteness all the next day. What else can I do to get them to co operate

Try the hot packs Murray and make sure you get cramps happening in your arms especially triceps and this will help release the upper back.

Steve I find that the SLM was improving my condition the first few days. But somehow have become worse.
I really struggle with the wall sit but manage to make the 20 minutes. It is the ballet squat that I have a hard time with. By that time my mucles are painful and exhausted. I do move on to other parts for a total of 40 to 60 mins.
I find my sacrum is very painful after that and I can only lay on my side. Is this part of the healing process? Or is there something I missed. I am concerned as sitting at work has become a real struggle. I have been sitting on every type of chair possible. One causes tailbone pain the other causes siatica and one causes the L4 area to burn. Do you have sitting exercises for work?

Hi Murray, how regularily have you been doing the ball work on the hips and glutes as per the book and video instruction? If the wall sit and ballet squat are very difficult it highlights a problem with those muscles and the need to keep pushing through it. I suggest you try and get some deep tissue massage on the legs and hips/ glutes to speed things up a bit.

If you have any more questions on the detail of the program please post them in the private members areas which you are a member of.

Thanks
Steve

The ball work is daily for me, sometimes twice. The SLM is 3 to 4 times per week.

Hi Murray, just be careful you don't overdo it as you can 'smash' the muscles and they won't support you either. If they bring the pain on as the day goes on it means they are fatiguing and asome rest is in order.

Add a massage to the legs mainly once a week and see if that helps.
