Lower back pain, more on right side near hip bone
« on: August 09, 2008, 09:33:07 PM »
Hi. I have lower back pain since about 2 weeks now. It pains almost throughout the day. It' not unbearable but it's annoying. It pains more on the lower right side of the back. I had this same problem almost a year ago when I was playing a lot of basketball which involved a lot of jumping. Since then I haven't played much. It hurts more when I sit in the car or on chairs and when I bend. Please help me. I do not know how to get rid of this problem.

These symptoms usually happen when the erector spinae muscles supporting the spine become locked up. They won't release with stretching and exercise will just irritate them. Because they don't work properly they don't act like shock absorbers when you jump and the lower back jars. When you sit they would normally lengthen but because they are locked up they don't and that causes a pulling into the lower back.

My self treatment program will show you techniques to release these muscles so they start working properly again and if you decide to get that go into the private members forum (details come with it) and I will direct you to the relevant pages of the book that you need to follow. If not try and find a therapist who can release them for you (not just relax them)and get them functioning properly again but this could end up being a lot more expensive that the $70 program.

Good luck,
Regards
Steve
