Annual Back pain, cant take it anymore!

Hi,

Every year at any given time i'll start experiencing really bad back/lower chest pain... It generally comes for up to 4 months once, or sometimes twice a year.. Symptom are, middle back pain to the left and right of my spine, directly under my rib cage I feel a tension sensation, at times it hurts my entire chest while I breath and i feel as tho I need to pee when usually i dont... The pain only usually come for 5 hours per day starting at around 4pm at night!, but the sensation of needing to use the bathroom usually stays with me for the few months... I've tried new beds, sleeping on the floor with my legs up on the couch, Heat bags.... But now I'm at the point where I'm taking excessive drugs just to cope. Its really starting to effect my work and I feel I'm going to be fired soon because I keep having to take days off to go to local cyro's etc...... No one seems to be able to help me... I've been told I may have shermans disease, liver problems and that my muscles are all out of whack... This is all great unfo at $50 a pop usually twice a week but non of it is ever proven and I've almost given up on doctors and cyro's...

What can I do, I'm only 24 and if I have to put up with this my whole live i'll be extremely limited to what I can do....

I'm located in Vic, so if anyone knows a good doctor, please share!!

Thanks in advance..

P.s, pleas excuse the grammar and spelling...I'm in intense pain atm  :( :( :( :(

Hi Jo, it sounds like you have a rotated pelvis as those are the symptoms that accompany it. There are a few good SLM therapists in melbourne so go to www.myotherapy.com.au/find and visit one who is close by. I am sure they will be able to sort it out for you. You might also consider the self treatment program if you want to cut down on the cost and combine what you can do on yourself at home each day with weekly treatments from the SLM therapist.

Good luck,

Steve
